Philosophy

Smile Across The Finish Coaching elicits a positive transition through goal-oriented coaching methods.

The foundation of Smile Across The Finish Coaching was inspired by my personal running blog:  www.smileacrossthefinish.wordpress.com.

The blog began in 2011 with the intention to map my personal health journey as a newbie, midlife runner struggling with weight loss after the birth of twin daughters, from my first short-distance races through multiple marathons. The blog expresses my personal experience with triumphs and setbacks all while maintaining a positive mindset.

I believe training for a marathon is a beautiful metaphor for life.  The process a marathoner experiences throughout months of training is an  incredible journey of self-empowerment and self-discovery. Running a marathon is more for your spirit than your body.  Running a marathon is beyond building muscles, it builds the core of you.  It awakens a fearless self; the hero in you.

SEE IT.  BELIEVE IT.  BE IT.

These three statements were my running mantra while training for my first marathon.  The significance of this phrase has evolved to represent the backbone to my personal coaching philosophy.

At the core of my coaching philosophy are three beliefs:

(1)  The key to sustainable change is celebrating the little victories and finding the JOY in the JOurneY.

(2)  Maintaining balance that aligns with values in your professional and personal life.

(3)  Every client has the ability to make a change and reach their goal once they See It. Believe It. Be It.

**Not all my clients are runners yet the common thread is their drive to succeed in reaching goals and to smile across the finish.**
